This is the shirt I made for myself to wear to BUTTER Fine Art Fair, and absolutely NOTHING about it was meant to be neat, polished or normal.

I hand drew every bit of this over several sittings, filling an already-weird white button-up with flowers, rainbows, peace signs, scribbles, stripes, weird little thoughts, WEIRD VIBES across the back & whatever else came out of my brain. The sleeves are cut and partially torn off on purpose so they’re uneven and funky, and I left the bottom longer so it can be tied in the front like I wore it.

It has been worn exactly ONE time, to BUTTER, and now I’d love to see someone else take it somewhere equally cool. An art fair, concert, festival, gallery opening, creative event... whatever special occasion calls for wearing a shirt that looks like someone let their brain loose with a box of markers.

IMPORTANT: There is a fuck on the front. If that word bothers you, this is probably not your shirt. 😂

Also important: this piece has NOT been washed. I did not use fabric medium when I created it, so I genuinely cannot guarantee what will happen to the artwork if it is machine washed. Some of it may fade, bleed, blend together or potentially wash away completely. This may very well be a special-occasion, wear-it-and-don’t-wash-it piece of wearable art, and I want whoever buys it to know that going in.

And if that means it never sells? I’m genuinely okay with that. I spent HOURS making this thing exactly as weird as I wanted it to be, so if someone else is meant to wear it next, they’ll find it. 💚

ABOUT ONE OF ONE: Every piece in the One of One collection has been painted, dyed, altered or otherwise made extra WEIRD and given extra LOVE by hand, which means there will never be another one exactly like it. Each one is created by me, Kylie (Head Weirdo at Wear Your Weird), and my ridiculously creative friend Caitlin, who just happens to have the exact same shade of pink hair. We spend our art days in Caitlin's garage creating like mad scientists, combining our ideas, experimenting & seeing what kind of weirdness we can dream up together. I’m so grateful for her natural creative spirit and the magic she brings to everything we make. Most pieces start with one of my original designs before we add even more LOVE, but sometimes we find a curated piece that simply MUST re-enter the universe with a whole lot more flair & pizazz.

CARE + PLEASE KNOW: One of One pieces are wearable art and should be treated with a little extra LOVE. To help preserve the added paint and dye, wash only when needed. When it is time for a wash, turn your piece inside out and wash it alone on a gentle cycle in cold water, then air dry. While every piece has been washed after completion, we cannot guarantee how long paint or dye will remain exactly as it looks today. Some fading, cracking or changes over time are part of owning a hand-altered piece, and the less you wash it, the longer those colors are likely to stay vibrant. (This particular hoodie does not have paint added and can be washed normally)

Because these pieces begin with different garments, sizing and fit can vary from item to item. The size listed is the size on the garment, but we cannot guarantee a specific fit. If you’d like measurements before purchasing, please reach out and I’m happy to measure the piece for you!

One of One pieces are all about the artwork, creativity & individuality that make them special rather than the expectation of a perfect, brand-new garment. And here’s a bonus: all that color, paint, dye & creative chaos makes GREAT camouflage for the normal stains and wear that happen when you actually live your life in your clothes. Chances are any little imperfections will be virtually undetectable to the civilians you encounter out in the wild, who will be far too busy wondering where the hell you got your shirt anyway.
